Hilton Garden Inn Wallingford/Meriden

“This is the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel and we love it! The only thing we would change are the pillows. They are so sad and flat and for being a place we go to just to sleep it seems like a weird thing to not have slightly nicer quality pillows. Other than that, I’m sure we’ll be back in the future!”

“Nice hotel, clean and quiet. Unfortunately the smell of artificial fragrance when you walk in the front door is completely overwhelming. So much so that you can taste the smell. It lingers in all the hallways too. Luckily not in the room or I would have had to leave. If you are sensitive to smells it is worth knowing. Made it difficult to even consider eating breakfast as it was too overwhelming and offputting for food consumption”

“My mother was trying to get access to the reservation she had and one of the ladies at the front desk was having a hard time finding the reservation even though we had the confirmation number printed out and on our phones she was so dedicated to helping us. She got her boss on the line and spent about 10 or 15 minutes trying to figure out where everything was in the system. Turns out we placed the hotel reservation using points and because of that it was a different part of the system and there was a little bit of glitch going on. Either way, they went miles above for us and got us into the room within 20 minutes which was just great customer service! If you're looking for a place to stay that has great people working there and it's clean and it's nicely located, I can't think of it better one than the Hilton garden in Wallingford, Connecticut!”

“While traveling for business, I stayed one night here. Check-in was very quick. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Parking is free and large amount of space for parking. The area scenery is beautiful especially if you book a room on the front side of the hotel. The hotel was very clean and smelled probably the best out of all the hotels I have been in. There was construction going on when I walked in of the bar area and where they normally have the breakfast area, however the hotel accommodated everybody in the hotel by moving drinks to another area and providing appetizers and still providing a small menu for food at night. Due to the construction morning breakfast again was provided however served in a different area with sandwiches juices, fruits, muffins, etc. the staff aimed to please, and they did not fail. Weight room and pool very clean and the weight room has a lot of equipment. When in the area this will be my number one choice.”
